Responsibilities

As a Data Center Manager, you will lead and develop high-performing engineering teams, providing essential technical and leadership guidance. Your role involves maintaining existing data centers and assisting in the launch of new facilities. You will drive continuous process improvement, believing that every aspect can be enhanced.

Key responsibilities include managing vendor and contractor relationships, liaising effectively with internal teams and management, and ensuring adherence to and exceeding Health & Safety standards. You will also be responsible for creating and utilizing metrics to drive positive operational changes and assisting in the implementation of service methodologies like incident, problem, change, and capacity management.

Qualifications

We are seeking a proven manager with a minimum of 4 years of data center engineering or operations experience, including at least 3 years managing technical teams. You should demonstrate strong personnel management skills, with a track record of developing engineers and building successful teams. Experience managing both high and low performing employees, along with conflict resolution, is advantageous.

Essential skills include extensive experience in incident management, understanding the broader implications of outages, and proficiency in change and fault management. Proven vendor management capabilities, including problem and conflict resolution with external partners, are required. An ability to significantly improve existing processes, experience in process mapping, and implementing remediation steps are crucial. Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma concepts is preferred, as is experience implementing change management for large-scale operations. A Bachelor's degree in an engineering or STEM field, or equivalent experience, is required.
