As a Data Center Manager in India, you will oversee the operation of the world's largest cloud computing infrastructure. This role presents daily opportunities to tackle complex technical challenges and drive operational excellence through innovation.

Your core responsibilities will include: - Leading and developing engineering teams, providing technical guidance and ensuring top-tier performance. - Managing the upkeep of existing co-located and in-house data centers. - Contributing to the build-out and launch of new data center facilities. - Continuously refining processes and procedures with a commitment to improvement. - Overseeing relationships with external vendors and contractors. - Liaising effectively with internal teams and management. - Ensuring strict adherence to and exceeding local Health & Safety standards. - Developing and utilizing data center metrics to drive positive operational changes. - Supporting the implementation of service methodologies like incident, problem, change, and capacity management.

We are seeking a proven manager with a strong background in data center operations and a passion for technology. The ideal candidate possesses significant experience in leading high-performing teams and a demonstrated ability to refine processes for operational excellence.

Key qualifications include: - A minimum of 4 years in data center engineering or operations. - Over 3 years of experience managing technical teams, with a proven track record of developing engineers and building successful teams. - Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and effective communication abilities. - Experience in people management, including managing teams of at least 5 individuals for a minimum of 3 years, demonstrating performance improvement and team growth capabilities. Experience with both high and low performing employees and conflict resolution is advantageous. - Extensive experience in incident management, including handling high-severity situations and understanding potential implications. - Proven ability in vendor management, problem-solving, and conflict resolution with external parties. - Demonstrated success in process improvement, including process mapping and implementing remediation steps that positively impacted business outcomes. Familiarity with Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies is preferred. - A strong focus on Health & Safety, with the ability to positively influence the safety culture within the data center organization. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an engineering or STEM field is preferred, alongside experience in Agile methods, capacity planning, or operations planning.
