Amazon is seeking a self-driven and organized professional to support Data Center Operations in India. This role involves managing inventory and fiscal processes, liaising with suppliers and internal teams, and ensuring seamless communication. The ideal candidate is autonomous, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication skills. Opportunities may exist in various Indian locations.
Key responsibilities include managing public and confidential data center documentation, aligning with financial and inventory teams, and responding to customer queries. You will be expected to understand financial processes, utilize Microsoft Office proficiently, and be familiar with applications like Remedy, Wiki, or Oracle Financials. Self-education and goal achievement without external support are crucial. You will also be responsible for documenting, updating, and publishing new processes.
Essential duties involve understanding all aspects of transportation, shipping, receiving, and inventory control. You will adhere to strict safety standards, maintain high quality, and operate material handling equipment. Tasks include assembling and arranging shipments, handling incoming materials, and maintaining accountability for stock components. You will assist in maintaining stock levels, optimizing the flow of parts, and coordinating with Data Center Operations Technicians and Procurement teams to ensure timely and accurate equipment delivery.
Regular communication with vendors to resolve issues and ensure they understand business requirements is key. You will support a 24/7 operational environment, receive and check out parts, and manage shipments and equipment transport between locations. Handling sensitive client materials and working with moving mechanical parts are also part of the role.
The role requires a logistics professional experienced in inventory cycle counts, shipments, maintenance, stock control, and reverse logistics. Proficiency in using computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) is essential.
Preferred qualifications include 2+ years of experience in shipping & receiving, inventory, and warehousing practices. The ideal candidate is highly autonomous, detail-oriented, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, and has a good understanding of financial processes.
Candidates should demonstrate a strong drive to learn new skills, an interest in computer technologies, and a proven ability to gather, generate, publish, and present metrics. Willingness to work in demanding physical conditions, including noisy environments and with heavy objects, is necessary.
