We are expanding our Data Center management team in India, seeking an Operations Engineer to be the primary operational resource for our owned and operated Data Centers. This role involves hands-on management of critical Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of facilities supporting IT operations.

As a Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer, you will take ownership of all data center changes, events, incidents, and problems from initiation to resolution. This includes overseeing post-mortems, root cause analysis, and implementing follow-up actions.

You will be responsible for planning and executing maintenance and repairs for site-critical infrastructure to benefit the business. Your duties will extend to managing asset and inventory, and developing comprehensive documentation such as method statements, standard operating procedures, and emergency response plans.

This role requires developing a deep understanding of data center systems, managing financial controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing staff training and development. You will also manage health, safety, environmental, and energy management programs, while keeping abreast of industry innovations. Effective communication of operating philosophies and technical information to internal teams and external vendors is key. You will also provide hands-on support for equipment installation, decommissioning, and audits, ensuring timely closure of corrective actions.

We are looking for candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience of 2+ years in electrical or mechanical engineering.

Prior experience in an operational role is essential. Preferred qualifications include 2+ years of data center engineering experience and 1+ years of experience with data center or mission-critical facilities.

This position demands 24x7 on-call availability, scheduled weekend support, and adherence to rotational shifts. The ability to troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within established SLAs, perform rack installations/decommissioning, and manage contractors and vendors are critical. You will also be responsible for performing and overseeing maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
