Join AWS Infrastructure Services and be at the forefront of cloud innovation. We design, plan, deliver, and operate the global infrastructure that powers AWS, ensuring continuous access to essential services for our customers. Our team tackles complex challenges in supply chain, engineering, and operations, maintaining thousands of servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling systems. We are seeking proactive individuals to contribute to our mission of delivering high standards of safety and security while optimizing costs and capacity for a seemingly infinite cloud.
This role is central to ensuring the optimal performance of all data center electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment. Responsibilities include managing on-site contractors and vendors to uphold established practices and local legislation. You will establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and generate reports on facility infrastructure operations and maintenance. Collaboration with DCO managers and business leaders is key for project coordination, capacity management, and enhancing plant safety, reliability, sustainability, and efficiency. Support for rack installation and power/cooling provision is also a core duty.
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field. A strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including switchgear, UPS, transformers, and circuit breakers, is essential. Preferred qualifications include prior experience in data center engineering, specifically with critical systems like feeders, generators, ATS units, chillers, and CRAC units. Diverse experiences and non-traditional career paths are highly encouraged.
