Join AWS Infrastructure Services, the team responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS's global data center infrastructure. We ensure the continuous operation of the cloud, supporting all AWS data centers and the vast array of servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment our customers rely on.
This role involves tackling complex challenges within a dynamic supply chain. You will collaborate with a diverse group of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers.

Take ownership of all data center changes, events, incidents, and problems, including post-mortems and root cause analysis. Ensure critical facility infrastructure maintenance and repairs are planned and executed efficiently.
Manage asset and inventory, and develop comprehensive documentation like method statements, standard operating procedures, and emergency response plans. Maintain deep knowledge of data center systems, design intent, and operational contingencies.
Oversee engineering aspects including financial control, regulatory compliance, personnel management, and staff development. Focus on health & safety, environmental management, and energy efficiency. Develop and deliver engineering reports, communicate operating philosophies, and provide hands-on facility support as needed.
Conduct technical compliance audits, manage corrective action plans, and perform annual operational reviews. Lead the development of energy and environmental management programs, staying abreast of industry innovations.
Review incident reports, document trends, and provide actionable recommendations to management. Manage information flow during incidents and coordinate with vendors to resolve issues, potentially requiring on-site investigation.
Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center operates within contract parameters. This includes risk management, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management, and metric reporting.
Manage on-site contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring all work complies with established practices, procedures, and local legislation. Establish performance benchmarks and prepare reports on data center facility operations.
Collaborate with DCO managers and business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability, and efficiency. Support rack installation and the provision of power and cooling.
Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Perform rack installations, decommissioning, and facility management. Provide operational readings and KPIs to ensure uptime. Work schedules may involve 12-hour shifts and on-call rotations depending on site needs.
