You will become part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team comprising software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain experts, security professionals, and operations managers. - Oversee all data center changes, events, incidents, and problems, ensuring thorough post-mortems, root cause analysis, and resolution. - Plan and execute maintenance and repairs for critical facility infrastructure to align with business interests. - Manage asset and inventory tracking. - Develop and maintain essential technical documentation, including method statements, standard operating procedures, emergency response plans, and preventive maintenance programs. - Uphold standardization and consistency with industry best practices, leveraging technical writing and automation skills. - Cultivate a deep understanding of data center system designs, operational alternatives, and contingency strategies. - Manage engineering aspects related to financial control, regulatory compliance, personnel development, and staff training. - Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and energy management regulations. - Prepare regular engineering reports and ensure compliance with contracted deliverables, SLAs, and KPIs. - Communicate operational philosophies and technical expectations to Amazon personnel and vendor teams. - Provide hands-on facility support for equipment installation, decommissioning, and replacement. - Oversee technical compliance audits and manage the closure of corrective action plans. - Develop and deliver energy and environmental management programs, staying current with data center industry innovations. - Review incident reports, document trends, and provide actionable recommendations to management. - Manage information flow during incidents, offering regular updates to leadership. - Coordinate with vendors to resolve incidents during emergencies, potentially requiring on-site investigation.

- Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center operates within contractual parameters. - Manage risk and implement mitigation strategies. - Conduct corrective and preventative maintenance on critical infrastructure. - Oversee vendor performance and report on key metrics. - Manage contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors on-site, ensuring compliance with procedures and local legislation. - Establish performance benchmarks, analyze data, and generate reports on facility infrastructure operations and maintenance. - Collaborate with DCO managers, business leaders, and operating partners to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability, and efficiency. - Support the installation of racks and the provision of power and cooling. - Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within defined Service Level Agreements. - Perform rack installations, decommissioning, and general facility management. - Track operational readings and KPIs to ensure consistent uptime. - Conduct performance and oversight of maintenance and operations on all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
