Join NTT DATA as an AMS Data Platform Operations Engineer and support a global Application Management Support service for an enterprise Data Platform powered by Databricks. This role ensures 24/7 platform availability, process continuity, and swift resolution of incidents and service requests across the data ecosystem. You will be instrumental in maintaining the stability and reliability of critical data operations.

This position requires a proactive individual dedicated to operational excellence and continuous improvement within a dynamic, global support model. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our data platform services.

Key responsibilities include providing Level 2/3 AMS support for a 24/7 global Data Platform, monitoring and supporting Databricks jobs, workflows, and data pipelines. You will manage ETL orchestration with Talend 8, perform operational support on Azure-hosted Talend clusters, and investigate incidents related to job failures, data processing errors, performance issues, and platform unavailability.

Further duties involve analyzing logs via Kibana, troubleshooting Spark jobs and SQL queries, supporting data validation, and interacting with various stakeholders including business users and global support teams. You will execute standard operating procedures, contribute to root cause analysis, identify improvement opportunities, and assist with Power BI dashboard-related issues, all while ensuring adherence to service level agreements.

We are seeking candidates with at least 5 years of relevant experience, demonstrating strong hands-on expertise with Databricks, Talend 8 for ETL orchestration, and Apache Spark for distributed data processing. Advanced SQL skills are essential for analysis and troubleshooting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, particularly for data platforms and cluster operations, is required. Familiarity with Kibana for log analysis, REST APIs for integrations, and ITSM processes like incident and problem management is also necessary. An understanding of data pipelines, batch processing, and job scheduling mechanisms is crucial. The role demands availability for a 24/7 global support model, including shifts and on-call duties, with a strong troubleshooting mindset and excellent English communication skills.
