As a Data Application Engineer, you will spearhead all facets of web development, from initial requirements gathering through software development, rigorous testing, comprehensive documentation, effective training, seamless implementation, and ongoing support and maintenance for both internal and external web applications.

Craft clean, modular, and well-structured code while defining overall system designs. This includes researching and evaluating third-party applications and providing informed recommendations.

Develop internal solutions, incorporating custom front-end and back-end services with minimal supervision. Identify and implement processes to ensure robust control compliance and effective monitoring.

Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of internal business applications that support Google’s technology lifecycle, collaboration initiatives, service delivery management, and data/business intelligence efforts.

Conduct and oversee thorough testing of application modules to confirm they meet specified requirements. Partner with analysts and business process owners across teams to translate complex business needs into actionable technical solutions.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, is essential.

Four years of experience with Java or Python, alongside proficiency in Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) tools, is required.

Demonstrate four years of experience in areas such as process improvement, systems integration, or change management.

Experience in coding, data management, and data analytics is a key requirement for this role.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience engaging with business stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications is highly valued.

Proven hands-on experience in building software for large-scale database systems, utilizing Big Data, Relational, and NoSQL data stores, is a significant advantage.

A strong foundation in design principles, data structures, and algorithms will set candidates apart.
