Lead and mentor a team of Practice Customer Engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and strategic talent development. Build AI-ready data foundations to maximize the value of proprietary data and provide thought leadership on data platform strategy, governance, and agentic AI architectures.
Collaborate closely with Sales teams to develop technical go-to-market strategies for Data and AI workloads, identifying and promoting repeatable solution patterns. Balance technical leadership with operational efficiency by overseeing review meetings to drive technical successes and migration strategies for clients and prospects. Manage prototyping and proof-of-concept initiatives.
Work across Google and with partners to address technical roadblocks and channel field insights back to Product and Engineering teams. Champion the technical positioning of leading data platforms, lakehouses, and open tables, while actively enabling the utilization of unstructured and multimodal data.
We are seeking an experienced leader with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. A minimum of 10 years in cloud-native architecture within customer-facing or support roles is essential.
Proven leadership experience, including people management, team leadership, mentorship, and coaching, is required. Candidates must possess experience in technical conversations, delivering demos, prototyping solutions, and conducting customer workshops. Familiarity with data and AI/ML technologies is also a must.
Preferred qualifications include experience influencing cross-functional teams, customers, and partners to achieve business objectives and enhance customer experience. Prior experience as a pre-sales manager or a technical customer-facing people manager in professional services or sales engineering is highly valued. Expertise in data governance, metadata, and semantic layers for AI agents, along with a track record of driving adoption of specialized workloads like Cloud AI and Data Analytics with technical decision-makers, will set candidates apart.
