Join Google Cloud as a Customer Engineer focused on Security, playing a pivotal role in empowering leading companies with cloud computing's transformative power. You'll be instrumental in making customer operations more productive, mobile, and collaborative by addressing their complex technical challenges with Google Cloud's cutting-edge security solutions. This role demands a strategic technical advisor who can articulate the value of our security ecosystem, bridging the gap between innovative technologies and business needs.

As a Customer Engineer for Google Cloud Security, you will act as the primary technical advisor, collaborating with the Sales team to develop and implement account strategies that foster trust and drive adoption of our security solutions. You will design robust security architectures tailored to customer business objectives and operational needs. Leading technical validations, including Proofs of Concept and deep-dives, will be key to identifying and resolving project roadblocks.

Furthermore, you will translate intricate cybersecurity concepts into practical business outcomes for diverse stakeholders. Effectively communicating with product development teams to refine capabilities and optimize market relevance will also be a core aspect of this role.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field, coupled with equivalent practical experience, is required. Candidates should possess at least 10 years of experience in a technical capacity, including 5 years in customer-facing technical pre-sales or solutions architecture. A minimum of 8 years of experience with modern SOC stacks (e.g., SIEM, SOAR, NDR, EDR, UEBA, Threat Intelligence) is essential. Proficiency in gathering business requirements, facilitating whiteboarding sessions, and delivering technical presentations is also necessary.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in a relevant technical field, cloud or security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM), and experience with AI agents, Generative AI, or LLM-driven applications. Experience implementing complex enterprise security solutions, proficiency in coding/scripting (Python, Go), and a strong aptitude for troubleshooting cybersecurity environments are highly valued.
