As a Custom Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing custom software solutions. This role involves designing, coding, and improving components across various systems and applications.

Utilizing modern frameworks and agile practices, you will deliver scalable, high-performing solutions precisely tailored to meet specific business needs. This position focuses on creating bespoke software to address unique organizational challenges.

Key responsibilities include configuring and enhancing core SAP FI components such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Banking, Tax, and Financial Closing.

You will translate intricate business requirements into scalable SAP configurations, leveraging AI copilots to accelerate analysis and documentation processes. This role also involves supporting end-to-end delivery, from requirements gathering and solution design to configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare.

Integration of SAP FI with other SAP modules (MM, SD, CO, AA) and external systems through standard patterns and APIs is crucial. Furthermore, you will employ AI copilots for drafting functional specifications, validating configurations, generating test scripts, performing impact analyses, and creating documentation. The role also requires applying pre-built AI services for anomaly detection, forecasting, and intelligent validations to refine finance processes and using AI tools for financial data interpretation and faster issue resolution.

A strong understanding of SAP FI S/4HANA processes is essential, including the Universal Journal, Financial Closing & Reporting, AP/AR Processing, Asset Accounting, Banking & Cash Management, and Taxation and compliance.

Experience with integrating FI with CO, MM, and SD modules is required. You should also possess hands-on experience utilizing AI copilots, LLM-based assistants, automated documentation tools, and AI-driven testing utilities.

Possessing strong analytical and problem-solving abilities within finance processes and data, coupled with clear communication skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively with business and technical teams, is vital.
