As a Custom Software Engineer, you will design, code, and enhance system components using modern frameworks and agile practices. The focus is on delivering scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs, leveraging AI-assisted development tools.

This role is integral to developing custom software solutions, accelerating financial process analysis, configuration, documentation, test creation, and troubleshooting through the strategic use of AI copilots. The position emphasizes seamless integration, high-quality delivery, and enhanced productivity powered by AI, without requiring deep model development or advanced LLM/RAG engineering.

Configure and enhance core SAP FI components, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Banking, Tax, and Financial Closing. Translate complex business requirements into scalable SAP configurations, utilizing AI copilots for accelerated analysis and documentation. Provide end-to-end support across the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design to configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare. Integrate SAP FI with other SAP modules (MM, SD, CO, AA) and external systems using standard integration patterns and APIs. Leverage AI copilots for drafting functional specifications, validating configurations, generating test scripts, performing impact analysis, and creating comprehensive documentation. Apply pre-built AI services, such as anomaly detection and intelligent validations, to optimize finance processes. Utilize AI tools for in-depth financial data interpretation, rapid error diagnosis, and efficient issue resolution.

Possess a strong understanding of SAP FI S/4HANA processes, including the Universal Journal, Financial Closing & Reporting, AP/AR Processing, Asset Accounting (AA), Banking & Cash Management, and Taxation and compliance. Demonstrate experience integrating FI with CO, MM, and SD modules. Have hands-on experience with AI copilots, LLM-based assistants, automated documentation tools, and AI-driven testing solutions. Understand fundamental AI concepts, their limitations, responsible AI usage, and the practical application of pre-built AI services (focusing on application, not model training or advanced RAG). Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in finance processes and data. Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with both business and technical teams. Translate business requirements into well-structured SAP finance solutions. Maintain a continuous learning mindset, embracing AI-enabled workflows.
