You will be instrumental in creating sophisticated AI systems, going beyond simple tool consumption. This is an opportunity to architect and develop the next generation of SAP applications, moving towards autonomous and intelligent enterprise workflows.

Design and construct ABAP Cloud applications that embed AI-driven intelligence into core SAP business processes. Implement AI-powered SAP extensions using modern frameworks like RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) and event-driven architectures. Develop high-quality, testable ABAP code that integrates effectively with AI services and enterprise APIs.

Integrate agentic workflows, including tools, planners, memory, and orchestration loops, within SAP processes. Connect LLMs, embeddings, and retrieval pipelines (RAG) to ABAP Cloud services for contextually relevant and accurate responses. Craft sophisticated prompt templates, grounding strategies, and fallback mechanisms tailored for enterprise SAP scenarios.

Build and connect retrieval pipelines using both SAP and non-SAP data sources. Implement robust data handling, indexing, and context assembly to support production-ready RAG implementations. Ensure accuracy, traceability, and explainability in all AI-driven SAP workflows. Implement evaluation frameworks and guardrails for authorization, data privacy, and error handling, while building observability into AI-enabled applications.

A strong foundation in SAP ABAP Cloud is essential, including proficiency in RAP, CDS, OData, and clean core principles. You should have hands-on experience integrating LLMs and AI services into applications, along with practical experience building RAG pipelines, embeddings, and contextual retrieval systems.

Solid software engineering fundamentals, encompassing design, testing, and CI/CD practices, are crucial. The ability to translate complex business challenges into innovative, AI-enabled SAP solutions is a key requirement. Experience with SAP BTP, eventing, APIs, and cloud services is highly beneficial, as is familiarity with agent frameworks or custom orchestration logic.
