Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer, focusing on Packaged Application Development. This full-time role offers an opportunity to design, code, and enhance software components using modern frameworks and agile practices. You will deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs.

This position leverages AI-assisted development tools and copilots to accelerate various aspects of the development lifecycle. The focus is on efficient production planning and execution within discrete manufacturing environments, integrating pre-built AI services where beneficial. No extensive AI model engineering or agentic system development is required.

Configure and support SAP PP processes, including MRP, production orders, routings, work centers, BOM management, capacity planning, scheduling, backflushing, costing integration, goods movements, and shop floor reporting.

Utilize AI copilots to accelerate the creation of functional specifications, validation of routings/BOMs, generation of test cases for MRP and order creation, and automation of documentation.

Support the full delivery lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to configuration, SIT/UAT, deployment, and hypercare.

Integrate SAP PP with MM, QM, SD, FI/CO, and shop floor systems using standard APIs and middleware.

Employ AI copilots for automated summarization of requirements, analysis of MRP exceptions, validation of order execution, and faster defect isolation.

Integrate pre-built AI services like predictive insights, intelligent classification of production issues, and automated summarization of batch deviations into production workflows.

Apply LLM-assisted troubleshooting to efficiently analyze MRP exceptions, order failures, and material shortages.

Ensure compliance with production governance, change controls, data accuracy standards, and audit policies.

Participate in workshops and solution reviews, collaborating with production, quality, warehouse, procurement, and integration teams for end-to-end planning excellence.

Create reusable templates, checklists, and test packs, along with AI-enabled best practices for SAP PP delivery.

A strong understanding of SAP PP and discrete manufacturing processes is essential, including BOM/routing management, production order cycles, capacity planning, scheduling, and MRP.

Experience with integration across SAP modules like MM, QM, SD, and FI/CO, as well as order confirmations, settlements, and shop floor data capture processes is required.

Proficiency in using AI copilots, automated documentation tools, and AI-assisted test accelerators is necessary. Comfort in embedding pre-built AI capabilities into production planning is expected, alongside an awareness of responsible AI usage.

Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to production variability and planning outcomes. The ability to translate manufacturing requirements into scalable SAP PP configurations and possess excellent communication and collaboration skills are crucial.
