As a Custom Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing sophisticated software solutions. This role involves designing, coding, and refining components across various systems and applications. You will leverage modern frameworks and agile methodologies to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions meticulously crafted to meet specific business objectives.

This position emphasizes the use of AI-assisted development tools and copilots to streamline financial processes. You will focus on accelerating financial analysis, configuration, documentation, test creation, and troubleshooting. The role prioritizes seamless integration, exceptional quality delivery, and enhanced productivity through AI, without necessitating deep model development or advanced LLM/RAG engineering.

Configure and enhance core SAP FI components, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Banking, Tax, and Financial Closing. Translate intricate business requirements into robust, scalable SAP configurations, utilizing AI copilots to expedite analysis and documentation. Provide end-to-end support throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design to configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare. Integrate SAP FI seamlessly with other SAP modules like MM, SD, CO, and AA, as well as external systems, employing standard integration patterns and APIs.

Utilize AI copilots for drafting functional specifications, validating configurations, generating comprehensive test scripts, conducting impact analyses, and producing essential documentation. Apply pre-built AI services, such as anomaly detection and intelligent validations, to optimize and enhance financial processes. Leverage AI tools for insightful financial data interpretation, rapid error diagnosis, and efficient issue resolution.

Ensure strict adherence to SDLC, audit controls, finance governance, data accuracy, and system performance standards. Facilitate workshops, solution walkthroughs, testing cycles, and troubleshooting sessions, enriched by AI-generated insights. Collaborate effectively with finance users, functional teams, technical specialists, and cross-module stakeholders to guarantee aligned, high-quality solutions. Contribute to the development of reusable templates, checklists, documentation patterns, and best practices for AI-assisted development.

Possess a strong understanding of SAP FI S/4HANA processes, including the Universal Journal, Financial Closing & Reporting, AP/AR Processing, Asset Accounting (AA), Banking & Cash Management, and Taxation and compliance. Demonstrate experience integrating SAP FI with other key modules such as CO, MM, and SD. Have hands-on experience utilizing AI copilots, LLM-based assistants, automated documentation tools, and AI-driven testing platforms. Exhibit a foundational understanding of AI concepts, including its limitations, responsible usage, and the practical application of pre-built AI services. Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills specifically within finance processes and data. Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with both business and technical teams. Be able to translate business requirements into well-structured SAP finance solutions. Maintain a continuous learning mindset and be comfortable adopting AI-enabled workflows.

A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required, with a preference for candidates with 2-5 years. A 15-year full-time education is a prerequisite.
