Shape the future of technology as a Custom Software Engineer. This role focuses on architecting and delivering innovative AI-native Oracle solutions, building bespoke AI applications and agents on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). You will tailor these solutions to specific customer data and Oracle Cloud Application Development processes, driving significant business impact.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI technologies, integrating them seamlessly into Oracle environments. You'll be instrumental in creating custom Oracle AI solutions that enhance existing Oracle Cloud Application Development scenarios, leveraging OCI AI services and robust Oracle data platforms.

Key responsibilities include designing and building custom Oracle AI solutions to augment Oracle Cloud Application Development. You will implement RAG/agent patterns from end-to-end, encompassing ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector search, reranking, and grounded generation with citations. Defining evaluation metrics and quality gates, such as grounding checks and regression tests, is crucial. Ensuring secure deployments through OCI IAM policies, network isolation, secrets management, and audit logging for production readiness is also a core function.

You will operate AI solutions in production by managing SLOs, monitoring performance (latency, errors, token/cost), establishing incident playbooks, and driving continuous optimization. Expertise in OCI Generative AI, Data Science foundations, vector databases, embeddings, and Oracle data integration/governance is essential. Strong engineering skills in the Oracle Cloud Application Development domain are needed to ground AI outputs effectively.

A minimum of 2 years of experience is required for this role. Candidates must possess foundational knowledge in OCI Generative AI and Data Science, including vector databases and embeddings. Proficiency in Oracle data integration and governance, covering PII classification, access control, and lineage, is essential. Strong engineering capabilities within the Oracle Cloud Application Development domain are necessary to ensure AI outputs are contextually relevant to Oracle processes and data.

Familiarity with LLMOps concepts, including prompt/version control, evaluation harnesses, monitoring, and FinOps cost controls, is highly valued. The ability to take a Proof of Concept (PoC) to production with robust governance and reliability is a key expectation aligned with the role's level.
