The ideal candidate will bring approximately 4 years of dedicated Android development experience, coupled with profound expertise in AAOS, embedded systems, and automotive infotainment platforms. This role is integral to shaping the future of in-car technology and user interaction.

Lead the architectural design and development of robust infotainment applications leveraging AAOS, emphasizing modularity, optimal performance, and long-term maintainability. Architect comprehensive full-stack solutions for key features like media playback, navigation systems, user profile management, and distributed content delivery. Develop specialized modules for seamless interaction with VHAL and other Hardware Abstraction Layers (HALs) utilizing AIDL/HIDL protocols. Integrate applications effectively with core system services and proprietary vendor-specific frameworks to ensure cohesive functionality. Proactively identify and resolve complex issues spanning application, framework, and HAL layers, guaranteeing system stability and peak performance. Foster close collaboration with platform, hardware, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure seamless integration and thorough validation of developed software. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, championing best practices in architecture, code quality standards, and rigorous testing methodologies. Create and present clear architecture diagrams, detailed technical specifications, and comprehensive implementation plans to all relevant stakeholders. Spearhead the development of Android infotainment applications, ensuring adherence to high-performance standards and facilitating seamless integration across diverse automotive platforms.

A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Android application development is required, with a preference for experience within the automotive or embedded systems domains. Demonstrate strong proficiency in programming languages including Java, Kotlin, and C++ (versions 14/17). Possess a deep and practical understanding of the Android SDK, NDK, Jetpack libraries, and the MVVM architectural pattern. Exhibit hands-on experience with fundamental Android components such as Activities, Services, Broadcast Receivers, and Content Providers. Gain practical experience in implementing AIDL/HIDL, working with VHAL, and managing HAL-to-application communication. Familiarity with AAOS car services and the intricacies of infotainment system integration is essential. Possess practical experience with Bluetooth (BT), Wi-Fi, GPS, and CAN bus functionalities at the application level. Exposure to developing and integrating media, phone, navigation applications, and cloud communication services is beneficial. Experience with partitioning concepts and managing cross-partition communication is valuable. Proficiency in executing unit tests, instrumentation tests, and employing mocking frameworks for comprehensive code validation. Demonstrate hands-on experience with version control systems like Git, understanding CI/CD workflows, and utilizing debugging tools such as adb, logcat, Perfetto, and Systrace. Familiarity with functional safety standards like ISO 26262 and ASPICE is advantageous, as is knowledge of cybersecurity standards such as ISO/SAE 21434. Understanding of cybersecurity practices, including Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) and secure communication protocols, is expected.
