This role requires 5–8+ years of hands-on experience with IBM AS400 development, featuring strong expertise in RPG (RPG III, IV, ILE, Free-format), CL, and COBOL. Proficiency in DB2/400 database design, queries, and stored procedures is essential, alongside knowledge of integration techniques like APIs, web services, and MQ. Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills are vital, as is experience with SDLC processes and strong communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams.
