Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer, specializing in Packaged Application Development. You will be instrumental in designing, coding, and enhancing software components using modern frameworks and agile methodologies. This role emphasizes delivering scalable, high-performing solutions precisely tailored to unique business requirements.

This position focuses on leveraging AI-assisted development tools and copilots to streamline the entire SAP Production Planning (PP) process for discrete manufacturing. You will contribute to efficient production planning, shop floor execution, and material staging, while integrating pre-built AI services to enhance productivity. The role does not involve deep AI model engineering, vector database work, RAG, or agentic system development.

Configure and support comprehensive SAP PP processes, including Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Production Orders & Execution, Routings, Work Centers & BOM Management, Capacity Planning & Scheduling, Backflushing & Costing Integration, and Goods Movements & Shop floor Reporting. Utilize AI copilots to accelerate the creation of functional specifications, BOM validation, test case generation, and documentation automation. Support the full project lifecycle from requirements and design through deployment and hypercare.

Integrate SAP PP with MM, QM, SD, FI/CO, and shop floor systems (MES), employing standard APIs and middleware. Employ AI copilots for automated summarization of requirements and change impacts, analysis of MRP exceptions, validation of order execution, and faster defect isolation. Integrate pre-built AI services such as predictive insights, intelligent classification of production issues, automated summarization of batch deviations, and smart suggestions based on historical performance. Leverage LLM assisted troubleshooting to minimize time spent analyzing MRP exceptions and order failures.

A strong foundation in SAP PP is essential, with a deep understanding of discrete manufacturing processes, including BOM/routing management, production order cycles, capacity planning, scheduling, and MRP. Experience integrating SAP PP with MM, QM, SD, and FI/CO is required, along with familiarity with order confirmations, settlements, and shop floor data capture. You should be adept at using AI copilots, automated documentation tools, and AI-assisted test accelerators, comfortable embedding pre-built AI capabilities into production planning workflows.

Essential professional skills include robust analytical and problem-solving abilities related to production variability and resource planning. The capacity to translate manufacturing requirements into scalable SAP PP configurations is crucial. Strong communication and collaboration skills are expected, alongside a continuous learning mindset and comfort with AI-assisted workflows. A 15-year full-time education is a mandatory requirement for this role.
