This role focuses on developing and enhancing custom software solutions for SAP Production Planning (PP) within discrete manufacturing environments. You will leverage modern frameworks and agile methodologies to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions tailored to specific business needs. The position utilizes AI-assisted development tools and copilots to streamline processes such as requirement analysis, configuration, testing, documentation, and issue resolution, aiming to optimize production planning, shop floor execution, and material staging.

This role emphasizes efficient production planning and integration of pre-built AI services, without requiring deep AI model engineering, vector database work, RAG, or agentic system development. You will be instrumental in driving efficiency and accuracy in production planning processes.

Configure and support SAP PP processes, including Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Production Orders & Execution, Routings, Work Centers & BOM Management, Capacity Planning & Scheduling, Backflushing & Costing Integration, and Goods Movements & Shop floor Reporting.

Utilize AI copilots to accelerate functional specification creation, routing/BOM validation, test case generation, and documentation automation. Support the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to hypercare support, and integrate PP with other SAP modules (MM, QM, SD, FI/CO) and shop floor systems.

Employ AI copilots for automated summarization of requirements, analysis of MRP exceptions, validation of order execution, and faster defect isolation. Integrate pre-built AI services into production workflows for predictive insights, intelligent classification of issues, and automated summarization of deviations.

Ensure compliance with production governance, change controls, and data accuracy standards. Participate in solution reviews and process optimization discussions, enhanced by AI-generated insights. Collaborate with various teams to achieve end-to-end planning excellence and create reusable templates and AI-enabled best practices.

Possess strong expertise in SAP PP, with a solid understanding of discrete manufacturing processes, including BOM/routing management, production order cycles, capacity planning, scheduling, and MRP. Experience integrating SAP PP with MM, QM, SD, and FI/CO is essential.

Demonstrate the ability to use AI copilots, automated documentation tools, and AI-assisted test accelerators. Familiarity with embedding pre-built AI capabilities into production planning or execution is required, along with an awareness of responsible AI usage in manufacturing environments.

Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to production variability and resource planning. The capacity to translate manufacturing requirements into scalable SAP PP configurations and strong communication and collaboration skills are vital. A continuous learning mindset with comfort in adopting AI-assisted workflows is expected.
