Key focus areas include leveraging AI-assisted development tools and copilots to streamline requirement analysis, configuration, testing, documentation, and issue resolution. Integration of pre-built AI services is also a component, though deep AI model engineering is not required.

Configure and support SAP PP processes, encompassing Material Requirement Planning (MRP), production orders, routings, BOM management, capacity planning, scheduling, backflushing, costing integration, and shop floor reporting. Utilize AI copilots to accelerate the creation of functional specifications, validation of routings/BOMs, generation of test cases for MRP and order creation, and automation of documentation. Support the entire project lifecycle, from requirements and design through configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare. Integrate SAP PP with MM, QM, SD, FI/CO, and shop floor systems (MES) using standard APIs and middleware. Apply AI copilots for automated summarization of requirements, analysis of MRP exceptions, validation of order execution, and faster defect isolation. Embed pre-built AI services into production workflows for predictive insights, intelligent issue classification, and automated summarization of deviations.

A strong foundation in SAP PP is essential, including a deep understanding of discrete manufacturing processes like BOM/routing management, production order cycles, capacity planning, scheduling, and MRP. Experience integrating with MM, QM, SD, and FI/CO is required, along with familiarity in order confirmations and shop floor data capture.

Proficiency in using AI copilots, automated documentation tools, and AI-assisted test accelerators is necessary. Candidates should be comfortable embedding pre-built AI capabilities into production planning and execution without requiring custom model building. An awareness of responsible AI usage and its limitations in manufacturing environments is important.
