This role focuses on engineering AI-native SAP applications and extensions, leveraging HANA optimization and agentic AI patterns. You will build high-performance, cloud-ready solutions using HANA pushdown principles, modern ABAP, and governed AI capabilities. The position involves creating applications that can reason, retrieve context, and assist within enterprise SAP workflows, without the need for training foundation models from scratch.

Develop custom software solutions, code, and enhance components across systems. Design and build ABAP solutions optimized for SAP HANA, utilizing CDS views and AMDP/SQLScript. Develop modular, testable, and maintainable ABAP code, and build services and APIs using modern paradigms. Model enterprise business entities using CDS semantics and design reusable data artifacts. Build AI-enabled SAP experiences integrating ABAP services with LLM capabilities, including tool calling and retrieval grounding. Implement automated tests for ABAP services and establish evaluation harnesses for AI behaviors. Instrument services with logs, metrics, and traces for production support, and integrate ABAP on HANA services with SAP and non-SAP ecosystems.

Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience. Essential skills include strong hands-on expertise in ABAP Development on HANA, proficiency with CDS views and modern data modeling, and experience with AMDP/SQLScript. A solid software engineering discipline encompassing clean design, a testing mindset, CI/CD orientation, and production readiness is crucial. Experience in AI-native build capabilities such as LLM integration, retrieval grounding, tool orchestration, evaluation loops, and safety boundaries is mandatory. A 15-year full-time education is required.
