Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer to build next-generation, AI-native enterprise applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). This role focuses on combining strong platform engineering skills with cutting-edge agentic AI application patterns.

You will be instrumental in building, deploying, and operating robust cloud applications, evolving them into intelligent systems through rapid prototyping and production hardening. Embrace the opportunity to shape the future of enterprise solutions.

Develop and manage cloud applications on SAP BTP, encompassing platform architecture, administration, solution design, and full-stack development. Create backend services and APIs using Node.js patterns, and build responsive frontend components with SAPUI5, integrating seamlessly with backend APIs.

Design and implement data models and database artifacts for SAP HANA-based persistence. Configure platform components, including subaccounts, service instances, roles, and connectivity artifacts. Package and deploy applications using multi-target application (MTA) style deployment.

Integrate LLM-powered features into BTP applications, such as workflow assistants, tool calling, and memory handling. Implement retrieval-grounded experiences (RAG) over enterprise content and establish evaluation loops for AI behavior monitoring. Ensure engineering excellence through Git-based workflows, Agile methodologies, and effective debugging.

A solid foundation in SAP BTP application development is essential, covering platform architecture, administration basics, solution design, and full-stack development. Demonstrate hands-on experience with backend services, APIs, data models, and UI integration.

Strong software engineering fundamentals, including clean code principles, a testing mindset, and CI/CD orientation, are crucial. The ability to transition from prototype to production is a key expectation for AI-native solutions.
