Job description

Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer to craft innovative software solutions. You'll be responsible for designing, coding, and enhancing components within various systems and applications. Utilizing modern frameworks and agile methodologies, you will deliver scalable, high-performance solutions tailored to specific business needs.

This role focuses on contributing to the VHAL and Car Framework, where you will implement well-defined changes, develop and maintain unit tests, and build essential development tooling. You will also assist with build and bring-up activities on development hardware and help reproduce and fix reported defects.

This position offers a fantastic opportunity for an early-career engineer to rapidly expand their expertise in AOSP and automotive concepts under the mentorship of senior engineers. You will actively participate in learning the AOSP build process, the Car Framework property model, and team coding standards, while also engaging in code reviews and contributing to documentation.

Responsibilities

- Implement custom software solutions, focusing on design, coding, and enhancement of system components. - Develop and maintain unit tests for new and existing code, aiming to improve test coverage. - Create and manage development and testing tools, including property injection scripts and log parsers. - Support build, flash, and bring-up processes on development boards and target head units. - Troubleshoot and resolve reported defects by gathering necessary logs and traces.

Qualifications

- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Automotive Digital Cockpit Solutions is required. - Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin for writing clear, executable code and unit tests. - Solid understanding of C++ fundamentals, including syntax, classes, and STL basics. - Familiarity with Android application and service fundamentals, including components, lifecycle, Service, and AIDL. - Competence in basic Linux command-line operations and Git fluency. - A demonstrated willingness and ability to quickly grasp platform-level concepts. - 15 years of full-time education is mandatory. - Exposure to AOSP, automotive concepts (CAN bus, ECU), or Android Automotive is beneficial.
