Drive the design and development of cutting-edge infotainment applications using Android Automotive OS (AAOS). This role offers the opportunity to lead full-stack architecture, manage HAL integration, and collaborate across system levels to deliver high-performance, automotive-grade user experiences. We are seeking a technically adept and delivery-focused professional to shape the future of in-car technology.
This position requires a strong background in Android development, with a deep understanding of AAOS, embedded systems, and infotainment platforms, ensuring robust and innovative solutions.
Lead the architecture and development of infotainment applications on AAOS, emphasizing modularity, performance, and maintainability. Develop modules for VHAL and other HALs via AIDL/HIDL, and integrate applications with system services and vendor frameworks.
Resolve complex issues across application, framework, and HAL layers for optimal stability and performance. Collaborate closely with platform, hardware, and QA teams for seamless integration and validation, while also mentoring junior developers and upholding best practices in code quality and testing. Create and present technical documentation and architecture diagrams.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in Android application development, ideally within automotive or embedded domains, is essential. Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and C++ (14/17), coupled with a deep understanding of Android SDK, NDK, Jetpack libraries, and MVVM architecture.
Hands-on experience with AIDL/HIDL, VHAL, and HAL-to-app communication is required. Familiarity with AAOS car services, infotainment integration, and application-level experience with BT, Wi-Fi, GPS, and CAN is crucial. Exposure to media, phone, navigation apps, cloud communication, partitioning concepts, and cross-partition communication is beneficial. Proficiency in unit testing, instrumentation testing, mocking frameworks, Git, CI/CD workflows, and debugging tools is expected. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering is required.
