This role focuses on developing and enhancing custom software solutions, designing, coding, and improving components across various systems and applications. As a Custom Software Engineer, you will significantly contribute to designing, configuring, and optimizing SAP Materials Management (MM) processes. Your work will ensure efficient procurement, inventory management, and supplier collaboration. By integrating pre-built AI capabilities, you'll boost productivity without needing to delve into deep AI model development, RAG, or agentic AI systems.

Configure and optimize SAP MM processes, including Procure to Pay (P2P), Purchase Requisition/Order Management, Source List & Quota Arrangements, Vendor Management, Inventory Management, Reservations & Movements, Material Master Data, Release Strategies & Pricing. Utilize AI copilots for generating functional specifications, validating configuration logic, creating high-quality test cases, and automating key documentation. Support end-to-end delivery across requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, SIT/UAT, deployment, and hypercare. Integrate MM with SD, FI, PP, QM, and external supplier systems using standard APIs, IDocs, and middleware. Apply AI tools to accelerate requirement interpretation, process design, material and vendor data validation, error diagnostics, test creation, regression analysis, change impact assessments, and document generation. Integrate pre-built AI services to enhance MM operations, such as automated classification of materials, predictive signals for stock or delivery issues, and intelligent summarization of procurement exceptions.

Possess a strong understanding of P2P processes, purchasing document flows, vendor evaluation, and inventory management, with experience configuring material master, vendor master, PO/PR processing, goods movements, and release strategies. Demonstrate familiarity with integration across SAP modules like SD, FI, PP, and QM, along with knowledge of IDocs, outputs, pricing procedures, and common MM troubleshooting patterns. Have hands-on experience with AI copilots, LLM-powered documentation tools, and AI-assisted testing accelerators. You should be able to integrate pre-built AI capabilities into MM workflows for automation and insight generation, while understanding responsible AI usage and its limitations. Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills in procurement and material management scenarios, with the ability to translate business requirements into logical, scalable SAP MM configurations. Clear communication and collaboration skills are essential, alongside a continuous learning mindset for adopting AI-enabled productivity tools. A 15-year full-time education is required.
