Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer and play a key role in building AI-native enterprise applications on the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). This position involves a blend of platform engineering, solution design, and full-stack development, with a strong emphasis on integrating agentic AI patterns like LLMs. You will be instrumental in developing, deploying, and optimizing cloud applications on SAP BTP, transforming them into intelligent systems through rapid prototyping and robust production hardening.

This role focuses on creating impactful solutions by embedding advanced AI capabilities into business workflows, ensuring both engineering discipline and operational reliability. We are seeking individuals who can contribute to building the future of enterprise applications with cutting-edge technology.

Design, code, and enhance custom software components across various systems and applications. Build, deploy, and manage cloud applications on SAP BTP, encompassing platform fundamentals, administration, solution design, and full-stack development. Develop backend services and APIs using Node.js and expose them for frontend consumption. Create responsive UI components with SAPUI5, integrating them with backend APIs for seamless data interaction. Design database artifacts and data models, connecting applications to SAP HANA-based persistence patterns. Configure subaccounts, service instances, and roles, and set up development spaces and connectivity artifacts for integrations. Implement LLM-integrated features, including tool calling, orchestration, memory handling, and safety boundaries. Build retrieval-grounded experiences (RAG-style) over enterprise content and APIs. Establish evaluation loops for measuring AI behavior and catching regressions. Utilize Git-based workflows and operate within Agile/Scrum delivery models.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in custom software engineering is required. Demonstrated expertise in SAP BTP application development, including platform architecture, administration, solution design, and full-stack development. Proven ability in hands-on full-stack implementation patterns covering backend services, APIs, data models, and UI integration. Strong software engineering fundamentals, including clean code principles, a testing mindset, and CI/CD orientation. Capability to transition solutions from prototype to production readiness. A required 15 years of full-time education is a must for this role.
