As a Custom Software Engineer, you will architect and build responsive SAPUI5 interfaces using MVC architecture and component-based patterns. You'll develop and customize applications with JavaScript and modern front-end technologies, adhering to Git-based collaboration. A key aspect of this role involves implementing robust data flows with an OData-first mindset and designing scalable client-side models.

Furthermore, you will integrate AI-driven experiences into UI flows, enabling intuitive user interactions and contextual guidance. This includes implementing tool-augmented UI patterns and retrieval-grounded UI interactions (RAG) to ensure AI outputs are tied to enterprise knowledge. You'll also focus on building automated tests, optimizing performance, and ensuring SAP Fiori-aligned design principles are applied across all solutions. Iterative prototyping, frequent demos, and collaboration with stakeholders are essential for delivering production-ready UI solutions.

We are seeking a Custom Software Engineer with strong SAP UI5 development expertise and a solid understanding of enterprise UI engineering fundamentals. Mastery of MVC architecture, responsive UI construction, and component-driven development within SAP UI5 contexts is essential.

Candidates must possess solid implementation experience with OData and service mocking for development and testing. Proficiency in front-end foundations including JavaScript, JSON, and CSS, alongside Git-based collaboration, is required. A capability in designing AI-native UX that integrates LLM behaviors with grounding, tool use, and evaluation loops is a core expectation for this role. A minimum of 3 years of experience and 15 years of full-time education are mandatory.
