Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer to develop innovative enterprise applications on the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). This role focuses on building, deploying, and operating cloud applications, integrating them with intelligent systems through rapid prototyping and production hardening.

You will leverage modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs, combining strong platform engineering with AI application patterns.

Develop and enhance custom software components across various systems. Build, deploy, and manage cloud applications on SAP BTP, encompassing platform administration, solution design, and full-stack development.

Create backend services and APIs using Node.js, and develop responsive user interfaces with SAPUI5. Design data models and integrate applications with SAP HANA persistence. Configure development environments, service instances, and connectivity artifacts for external integrations. Implement AI-native application patterns, including LLM integration, tool calling, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Ensure engineering excellence through Git workflows, Agile methodologies, and robust debugging.

A minimum of 2 years of experience is required in SAP BTP application development. Must possess strong fundamentals in platform architecture, administration, solution design, and full-stack implementation, including backend services, APIs, data models, and UI integration.

Proficiency in software engineering best practices such as clean code and testing is essential. Experience with Git-based workflows and Agile/Scrum delivery models is expected. Familiarity with common BTP development tools and patterns is beneficial.
