We are seeking a technically proficient and delivery-oriented Android Application Development Lead to spearhead the design and development of innovative infotainment applications utilizing Android Automotive OS (AAOS).

This role encompasses full-stack architecture, seamless HAL integration, and collaborative system-level efforts to deliver high-performance, automotive-grade user experiences. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in Android development, with a deep specialization in AAOS, embedded systems, and cutting-edge infotainment platforms. A minimum of 4 years of experience is expected, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in automotive or embedded domains.

Take the lead in designing and developing infotainment applications built on AAOS, emphasizing modularity, performance, and ease of maintenance.

Architect comprehensive full-stack solutions for critical features such as media playback, navigation, user profiles, and distributed content.

Develop modules designed to interact effectively with VHAL and other HALs using AIDL/HIDL, ensuring smooth communication pathways.

Integrate applications seamlessly with essential system services and vendor-specific frameworks for robust functionality.

Proactively address and resolve issues across application, framework, and HAL layers to guarantee optimal stability and performance.

Collaborate closely with platform, hardware, and QA teams to ensure cohesive integration and thorough validation.

Provide mentorship to junior developers, promoting adherence to best practices in architecture, code quality, and rigorous testing methodologies.

Create and present detailed architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation insights to key stakeholders.

Drive the development of Android infotainment applications, ensuring compliance with high-performance standards and seamless integration across diverse automotive platforms.

A minimum of 4 years of experience in Android application development, with a strong preference for experience within automotive or embedded environments, is required.

Demonstrate robust proficiency in programming languages including Java, Kotlin, and C++ (versions 14/17).

Possess a deep understanding of the Android SDK, NDK, Jetpack libraries, and the MVVM architectural pattern.

Exhibit hands-on experience with core Android components such as Activities, Services, Broadcast Receivers, and Content Providers.

Gain practical experience with AIDL/HIDL, VHAL, and the intricacies of HAL-to-app communication.

Familiarity with AAOS car services and the complexities of infotainment integration is expected.

Experience with Bluetooth (BT), Wi-Fi, GPS, and CAN bus at the application level is beneficial.

Exposure to developing media, phone, and navigation applications, as well as cloud communication, is desirable.

Understanding of partitioning concepts and cross-partition communication strategies is a plus.

Proficiency in unit testing, instrumentation testing, and the utilization of mocking frameworks is essential.

Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD workflows, and essential debugging tools like adb, logcat, Perfetto, and Systrace is required.

Familiarity with standards such as ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) and ASPICE is advantageous.

Knowledge of ISO/SAE 21434 (Cybersecurity) and cybersecurity practices, including TARA and secure communication protocols, is expected.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, specifically in Computer Science, Electronics, or Electrical fields.
