Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer to architect, develop, and refine software components across diverse systems and applications. You'll leverage modern frameworks and agile methodologies to build robust, high-performance solutions precisely tailored to unique business requirements.

This role focuses on creating custom software solutions, encompassing design, coding, and enhancement of system components. We utilize contemporary frameworks and agile practices to ensure the delivery of scalable, high-performing applications designed for specific business needs.

Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Node.js and AWS development. Design and implement backend and BFF services using Node.js and TypeScript. Develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs for critical services like catalog, metadata, entitlement, playback, and device management. Create API aggregation layers for various platforms including Web, Mobile, Smart TV, and Set-Top Box. Integrate a wide array of AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, EKS, Fargate, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, and Kinesis. Define API contracts, data models, caching strategies, and resiliency patterns. Lead the entire feature delivery lifecycle from initial design to final deployment. Produce maintainable and scalable TypeScript code with thorough automated testing. Manage dependencies, security patches, framework upgrades, and platform enhancements proactively. Troubleshoot production issues and conduct root cause analysis to ensure system stability. Support deployment processes, including release validation and rollback procedures. Provide accurate effort estimations, technical guidance, and risk assessments. Mentor engineering teams and foster collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. Participate in on-call rotations and provide essential production support.

A minimum of 3 years of professional experience is required. Possess expertise in Node.js and TypeScript development, alongside experience with AWS application development. Proficiency in designing and developing RESTful and GraphQL APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems. Familiarity with key AWS services including Lambda, ECS, EKS, Fargate, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Kinesis, CloudWatch, and IAM. Experience with frameworks like Express.js, Fastify, or NestJS, and working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases. Skilled in API testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, and Supertest. Proficient with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices. Understanding of deployment strategies like Blue-Green and Canary deployments. Demonstrated ability in production support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills are essential.
