An exciting opportunity for an early-career Custom Software Engineer to join our team. You will contribute to the VHAL and Car Framework under the guidance of senior engineers, focusing on well-scoped implementation tasks. This role is perfect for rapidly building expertise in AOSP and automotive concepts.

Develop custom software solutions, designing, coding, and enhancing components across systems or applications. Employ modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs.

Implement small, well-specified changes and write/maintain unit tests. Develop and maintain essential development and test tooling, including property injection scripts and log parsers. Assist with build, flash, and bring-up activities on development boards and target head units. Reproduce reported defects, gather necessary logs, and resolve straightforward issues with support.

Actively learn the AOSP build and development workflow, the Car Framework property model, and team codebase conventions. Participate in code reviews to foster learning and improvement. Maintain project documentation, including property catalogue updates and setup guides. Escalate any blockers promptly and clearly.

A minimum of 2 years of experience is required, with a focus on Automotive Digital Cockpit Solutions. Candidates should possess at least 3 years of software engineering experience, with meaningful Android or embedded systems exposure. Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin for writing clear, working code and unit tests is essential. Working C++ fundamentals are necessary to read and modify existing code with support.

Understanding of Android application and service fundamentals, including components, lifecycle, Service, and AIDL, is required. Basic Linux command-line competence and Git fluency are important. Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn platform-level concepts quickly are highly valued. A 15-year full-time education is a prerequisite for this role.
