Shape the future of SAP applications by building AI-native, HANA-optimized solutions. This role leverages advanced ABAP on HANA engineering with agentic AI patterns, focusing on high-performance, cloud-ready applications. You'll utilize HANA pushdown principles, modern ABAP, and governed AI capabilities to create solutions that can reason, retrieve context, and assist within enterprise SAP workflows.

Design and develop high-performance ABAP solutions optimized for SAP HANA using pushdown principles. Build efficient data models and access patterns with CDS views, associations, and annotations. Develop modular, testable, and maintainable ABAP code aligned with clean architecture. Implement AI-enabled SAP experiences integrating ABAP services with LLM capabilities, including tool calling and retrieval grounding. Build automated tests for ABAP services and establish evaluation harnesses for AI behaviors. Instrument services with logs, metrics, and traces for production support. Integrate ABAP on HANA services with SAP and non-SAP ecosystems.

A minimum of 3 years of experience is required, with a focus on SAP ABAP Development for HANA, including performance tuning and pushdown techniques. Proficiency in CDS views, modern data modeling, and AMDP/SQLScript is essential. A strong software engineering discipline encompassing clean design, a testing mindset, CI/CD orientation, and production readiness is crucial. Experience with AI native capabilities like LLM integration, retrieval grounding, tool orchestration, evaluation loops, and safety boundaries is a must.

Additional beneficial skills include OData/service design patterns, API lifecycle management, integrating SAP with cloud runtimes, performance benchmarking, and SAP security/authorization knowledge.
