As a Custom Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing sophisticated software solutions. Your role involves designing, coding, and refining components across various systems and applications. Utilizing modern frameworks and agile methodologies, you will deliver scalable, high-performance solutions meticulously tailored to specific business requirements.

This position emphasizes leveraging AI-assisted development tools and copilots to streamline requirement analysis, configuration, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting within SAP Sales & Distribution (SD). The focus is on creating efficient Order to Cash (O2C) solutions, integrating pre-built AI services, and boosting productivity through AI assistance, rather than deep AI model development.

Key responsibilities include configuring and optimizing SAP SD components such as Order Management, Pricing, Delivery, Billing, and Credit Management. You will employ AI copilots to generate functional specifications, validate pricing logic, and automate test case creation.

Support end-to-end implementation cycles, from requirements gathering to post-go-live support, is crucial. Integrating SD with other modules like MM, FI, PP, and WM/EWM, as well as external systems, will be part of your duties.

AI-assisted productivity enhancement involves using AI tools for process analysis, pricing issue diagnostics, impact analysis, and test planning. Incorporating pre-built AI features into SD workflows, like automated exception detection or intelligent order classification, is also expected. Furthermore, you will utilize LLM assistance for troubleshooting during incidents to reduce resolution times.

A strong foundation in SAP SD is essential, including a thorough understanding of O2C processes, ATP, shipping, billing, credit checks, and pricing procedures. Experience with SD/FI and SD/MM integrations, along with an understanding of master data, IDocs, outputs, and common troubleshooting steps, is required.

Proficiency with AI copilots, automated documentation tools, and AI-assisted testing and analysis tools is vital. You should be able to integrate pre-built AI capabilities into SD process flows. A solid grasp of responsible AI usage and its limitations within commercial workflows is also necessary.
