As a Custom Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, coding, and enhancing complex software components. This role utilizes modern frameworks and agile methodologies to build scalable, high-performance solutions that precisely meet business demands.

Focusing on SAP FI S/4HANA Accounting, you'll leverage AI-powered development tools and copilots to streamline financial process analysis, configuration, documentation, and troubleshooting. The position emphasizes seamless integration, exceptional delivery quality, and enhanced productivity through AI, without requiring deep model development or advanced LLM/RAG engineering expertise.

Key responsibilities include configuring and enhancing core SAP FI components like General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Banking, Tax, and Financial Closing. You will translate business requirements into robust SAP configurations, utilizing AI copilots to accelerate analysis and documentation.

Support will be provided for end-to-end delivery, encompassing requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare. Integration of SAP FI with other SAP modules (MM, SD, CO, AA) and external systems via standard patterns and APIs is crucial.

AI-assisted productivity involves using copilots for drafting functional specifications, validating configurations, generating test scripts, conducting impact analysis, and producing documentation. You will also apply pre-built AI services, such as anomaly detection and intelligent validations, to enrich finance processes and utilize AI tools for financial data interpretation and faster issue resolution.

Ensure adherence to SDLC, audit controls, finance governance, data accuracy, and system performance standards. Conduct workshops, solution walkthroughs, testing cycles, and troubleshooting sessions, informed by AI-enhanced insights. Foster collaboration with finance users, functional and technical teams, and cross-module stakeholders to ensure aligned, high-quality solutions.

Contribute to the development of reusable templates, checklists, documentation patterns, and best practices for AI-assisted development.

A strong foundation in SAP Finance Expertise is essential, including a thorough understanding of SAP FI S/4HANA processes such as the Universal Journal, Financial Closing & Reporting, AP/AR Processing, Asset Accounting (AA), Banking & Cash Management, and Taxation and compliance. Experience integrating FI with CO, MM, and SD modules is also required.

AI Ready Skills are paramount, necessitating hands-on experience with AI copilots, LLM-based assistants, automated documentation, and AI-driven testing tools. A solid grasp of AI concepts, its limitations, responsible usage, and the practical application of pre-built AI services is expected (model training, RAG, or agentic development are not the focus).

General Skills include strong analytical and problem-solving abilities pertinent to finance processes and data. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary for working effectively with both business and technical teams. Additional qualifications include a minimum of 3 years of experience and a mandatory 15 years of full-time education. Good to have skills encompass experience with SAP Fiori finance applications, exposure to cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP for integrations, familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g., Tricentis, SAP CBTA), and a basic understanding of financial analytics and reporting tools.
