As a Custom Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing bespoke software solutions. This involves designing, coding, and refining components across various systems and applications. Utilizing modern frameworks and agile methodologies, you will deliver scalable, high-performance solutions precisely tailored to meet unique business requirements. The role emphasizes enhancing system functionalities and ensuring optimal performance through continuous improvement.

This position focuses on leveraging AI-assisted development tools and copilots to streamline SAP Materials Management (MM) processes. You will accelerate requirement analysis, configuration, testing, and documentation, leading to more efficient procurement, inventory management, and supplier collaboration. Integration of pre-built AI capabilities will boost productivity without requiring deep involvement in complex AI model development.

You will configure and optimize core SAP MM processes, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), purchase requisition/order management, source list and quota arrangements, vendor management, inventory operations, material master data, and release strategies.

Leverage AI copilots to generate functional specifications, validate configuration logic, create robust test cases, and automate essential documentation. Support end-to-end project delivery, from requirements gathering and solution design through SIT/UAT, deployment, and hypercare.

Integrate MM with other modules like SD, FI, PP, QM, and external supplier systems using standard APIs, IDocs, and middleware. Utilize AI tools to accelerate requirement interpretation, process design, data validation, error diagnostics, test creation, and document generation. Integrate pre-built AI services to enhance MM operations, such as automated classification or predictive signals for inventory and procurement issues.

A strong foundation in SAP MM expertise is essential, including a deep understanding of P2P processes, purchasing document flows, vendor evaluation, and inventory management. Proven experience in configuring material master, vendor master, PO/PR processing, goods movements, and release strategies is required.

Familiarity with integration across SAP modules (SD, FI, PP, QM) and knowledge of IDocs, outputs, pricing procedures, and common MM troubleshooting patterns are necessary. Hands-on experience with AI copilots, LLM-powered documentation tools, and AI-assisted testing accelerators is crucial.

Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills specifically within procurement and material management contexts. The ability to translate business requirements into logical, scalable SAP MM configurations is key. Clear communication and collaboration skills are important for working effectively with cross-functional business teams. A continuous learning mindset and comfort with adopting AI-enabled productivity tools are highly valued.
