As a Roku Application Developer, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and configuring applications that align with business processes and user needs. Your day-to-day will involve close collaboration with diverse teams to grasp their requirements, pioneer innovative streaming solutions, and ensure applications are optimized for both performance and user-friendliness. Additionally, you'll tackle complex problem-solving tasks, offer technical leadership, and drive continuous improvements in application functionality and user experience.
Collaborate closely with teams to achieve project objectives and deliver key deliverables. Engage with cross-functional teams and contribute significantly to critical technical decision-making processes. Provide effective solutions to address technical challenges encountered across various teams. Oversee project timelines and ensure the punctual delivery of application features and enhancements.
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience is required. Proven expertise in developing video streaming applications for Roku platforms using Bright Script, Scene Graph, and XML. Proficiency with Bright Script and Roku debugging tools is essential. Demonstrated strong understanding of the Scene Graph framework and its fundamental principles. Experience integrating third-party libraries such as Player, Analytics, and Advertising SDKs. Familiarity with consuming RESTful Services and JSON data formats. Understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs. Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities are crucial for this role.
