Embark on a journey as a Custom Software Engineer specializing in Packaged Application Development. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to design, code, and enhance system components using modern frameworks and agile practices. You will focus on delivering scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs, with a strong emphasis on leveraging AI-assisted development tools and copilots to streamline processes.

This position involves configuring and enhancing SAP Quality Management (QM) processes across various modules. The goal is to accelerate configuration, documentation, analysis, testing, and problem resolution. While AI assistance is key, deep AI model engineering or RAG/agentic development is not required. Instead, you will integrate pre-built AI services where beneficial, improving productivity without extensive AI model development.

As a Custom Software Engineer, you will configure and enhance SAP QM processes, including Inspection Planning, Results Recording, Quality Notifications, and Corrective Actions. You'll manage Incoming, In-Process, and Final Inspections, as well as Quality Certificates and Sampling Procedures, ensuring seamless integration with Procurement, Production, and Warehouse modules.

Utilize AI copilots to accelerate the creation of functional specifications, validate configurations, and generate comprehensive test cases. You will support end-to-end delivery, from requirements gathering to hypercare, and integrate QM processes with MM, PP, WM/EWM, PM, SD, and vendor/customer systems.

Leverage AI for rapid requirement summarization, impact analysis, and automated documentation generation. Employ AI-driven pattern detection in quality issues and use LLM-assisted troubleshooting for swift resolution of configuration or process challenges. Ensure adherence to organizational quality standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance frameworks.

This role requires hands-on experience with SAP QM, covering inspection types, quality notifications, inspection lots, usage decisions, catalogs, MICs, and sample procedures. A solid understanding of integration dependencies with MM, PP, WM/EWM, SD, and vendor quality is essential.

Experience with AI copilots, LLM-driven documentation tools, and AI-assisted testing/troubleshooting accelerators is highly valued. You should be comfortable integrating pre-built AI capabilities into QM operations and understand responsible AI usage in regulated environments.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to quality processes are crucial. The ability to translate manufacturing requirements into scalable SAP QM configurations and clear communication skills across business and IT teams are necessary.
