Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer, specializing in developing sophisticated SAP PP solutions for discrete manufacturing environments. This role leverages AI-assisted development tools and copilots to streamline requirement analysis, configuration, testing, and issue resolution.

You will focus on enhancing efficient production planning, shop floor execution, and material staging processes. The position involves integrating pre-built AI services to optimize workflows, without requiring deep AI model engineering or vector database expertise.

Configure and support core SAP PP functionalities including Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Production Orders, Routings, Work Centers, BOM Management, Capacity Planning, and Costing Integration.

Utilize AI copilots to accelerate the creation of functional specifications, validation of routings/BOMs, generation of test cases, and automation of documentation.

Support the entire project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through SIT/UAT, deployment, and hypercare. Integrate SAP PP with other modules like MM, QM, SD, FI/CO, and shop floor systems.

Employ AI copilots for automated summarization of requirements, analysis of MRP exceptions, validation of order execution, and faster defect isolation. Integrate pre-built AI services for predictive insights, intelligent classification of issues, and automated summarization of production deviations.

A strong foundation in SAP PP is essential, with a comprehensive understanding of discrete manufacturing processes, including BOM/routing management, production order cycles, capacity planning, scheduling, and MRP.

Experience integrating SAP PP with modules such as MM (material availability), QM (inspection lots), SD (demand), and FI/CO (costing) is crucial. Familiarity with order confirmations, settlements, and shop floor data capture processes is also required.

Proficiency in using AI copilots, automated documentation tools, and AI-assisted test accelerators is necessary. Candidates should be comfortable embedding pre-built AI capabilities into production planning and execution workflows, with an awareness of responsible AI usage limitations.
