You will leverage modern ABAP capabilities and governed AI to develop solutions that can reason, retrieve context, and assist within enterprise SAP workflows, without the need to train foundation models from scratch. Develop and enhance custom software components across systems, focusing on scalable, high-performance solutions tailored to business needs.

Design and implement ABAP solutions optimized for SAP HANA, utilizing pushdown principles for maximum in-database processing.

Build modern, modular, and testable ABAP code aligned with clean architecture practices, and develop services and APIs using modern paradigms.

Model enterprise business entities using CDS semantics to support transactional and analytical consumption, ensuring lineage-friendly structures.

Create AI-enabled SAP experiences by integrating ABAP services with LLM capabilities, including tool calling, retrieval grounding, and deterministic fallbacks.

Implement automated testing for ABAP services and data artifacts, and establish evaluation harnesses for AI behaviors.

Instrument services with logs, metrics, and traces for production support, and design robust error handling for enterprise flows.

Integrate ABAP on HANA services with SAP and non-SAP ecosystems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end solution correctness.

A minimum of 3 years of experience is required, with a focus on SAP ABAP Development for HANA.

Proficiency in CDS views, modern data modeling practices, AMDP/SQLScript, and solid software engineering discipline including clean design and testing are essential.

Experience in AI-native development, including LLM integration, retrieval grounding, tool orchestration, evaluation loops, and safety boundaries, is a must.

Knowledge of OData/service design patterns, API lifecycle management, and integrating SAP backends with cloud runtimes and enterprise integration platforms is strongly beneficial.

Familiarity with performance benchmarking, SAP security/authorizations, and compliance requirements for sensitive enterprise data is also advantageous.
