Job description

This role involves developing and configuring sophisticated software systems, either end-to-end or for specific product lifecycle stages. It requires applying expertise in various technologies, applications, methodologies, processes, and tools to support client projects and organizational entities. The focus is on driving the design and development of infotainment applications using Android Automotive OS (AAOS), encompassing full-stack architecture and HAL integration for high-performance, automotive-grade user experiences.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in AAOS, embedded systems, and infotainment platforms, contributing to the creation of cutting-edge automotive software solutions.

Responsibilities

- Lead the design and development of infotainment applications leveraging AAOS, prioritizing modularity, performance, and maintainability. - Architect comprehensive full-stack solutions for features like media, navigation, user profiles, and distributed playback. - Develop modules for seamless interaction with VHAL and other HALs through AIDL/HIDL. - Integrate applications effectively with system services and vendor-specific frameworks. - Proactively debug and optimize across application, framework, and HAL layers to ensure system stability and peak performance. - Foster strong collaboration with platform, hardware, and QA teams for efficient integration and validation. - Guide and mentor junior developers, championing best practices in architecture, code quality, and testing methodologies. - Create and present detailed architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation plans to key stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years of professional experience is mandatory. - Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field. - Proficiency in Automotive Digital Cockpit Solutions is essential. - Experience with Android application development, ideally within automotive or embedded environments, is required. - Strong command of Java, Kotlin, and C++ (14/17). - Deep understanding of Android SDK, NDK, Jetpack libraries, and MVVM architecture. - Hands-on experience with Android components such as Activities, Services, Broadcast Receivers, and Content Providers. - Practical experience with AIDL/HIDL, VHAL, and HAL-to-app communication. - Familiarity with AAOS car services and infotainment integration. - Exposure to media, phone, navigation applications, and cloud communication. - Knowledge of partitioning concepts and cross-partition communication is beneficial. - Proficiency in unit testing, instrumentation testing, and mocking frameworks. - Experience with Git, CI/CD workflows, and debugging tools like adb, logcat, Perfetto, and Systrace. - Familiarity with ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), ASPICE, and ISO/SAE 21434 (Cybersecurity) is advantageous.
