As a Custom Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, coding, and enhancing software components across various systems. This role emphasizes the use of modern frameworks and agile methodologies to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions that precisely meet business requirements.

You will leverage AI-assisted development tools and copilots to streamline processes like requirement analysis, configuration, testing, documentation, and problem resolution. The focus is on enhancing procurement, inventory management, and supplier collaboration through integrated AI capabilities, without requiring deep expertise in core AI model development.

Key responsibilities include configuring and optimizing SAP Materials Management (MM) processes such as Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Purchase Requisition/Order Management, Vendor Management, and Inventory Management. You will utilize AI copilots to generate functional specifications, validate configuration, create test cases, and automate documentation.

Further responsibilities involve supporting end-to-end delivery, integrating MM with other SAP modules (SD, FI, PP, QM) and external systems. You will apply AI tools to accelerate requirement interpretation, data validation, error diagnostics, test creation, and document generation. Pre-built AI services will be integrated to enhance MM operations, including automated classification and predictive signals for inventory and procurement workflows.

A strong foundation in SAP MM is essential, including expertise in P2P processes, purchasing document flows, vendor evaluation, and inventory management. Experience with material master, vendor master, PO/PR processing, goods movements, and release strategies is required.

AI-ready skills are crucial, encompassing hands-on experience with AI copilots, LLM-powered documentation tools, and AI-assisted testing accelerators. The ability to integrate pre-built AI capabilities into MM workflows for automation and insight generation is necessary. You should also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, clear communication and collaboration abilities, and a continuous learning mindset.
