You will be instrumental in delivering scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs, leveraging cutting-edge AI tools to accelerate development processes.

This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience and 15 years of full-time education. You will be working with AI-assisted development tools to enhance SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) processes, including requirement analysis, configuration, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting. The role supports efficient maintenance execution, work order management, asset reliability, and operational visibility through the integration of pre-built AI services.

As a Custom Software Engineer, you will configure key SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) processes such as Maintenance Notifications & Work Orders, Preventive & Corrective Maintenance, and Technical Object Management. You will utilize AI copilots to accelerate functional specification writing, configuration validation, test case generation, and documentation creation. Support will be provided for end-to-end delivery, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, SIT/UAT, deployment, and hypercare. Integration with MM, QM, FI/CO, Warehouse, and external systems is a key aspect of this role.

Furthermore, you will apply AI copilots for maintenance data analysis, identifying patterns in breakdowns, and troubleshooting common PM errors. Integration of pre-built AI services for predictive maintenance insights and intelligent notification classification is expected. You will also leverage LLM assisted support to reduce resolution times for issues within maintenance plans, task lists, notifications, and orders. Ensuring maintenance processes adhere to plant safety, audit, and compliance requirements, and collaborating across various teams are essential duties.

This role demands strong SAP PM expertise, including hands-on configuration experience with notifications, orders, task lists, and measurement documents. A solid understanding of PM integrations with MM, QM, PP, and FI/CO is crucial, alongside familiarity with maintenance execution and breakdown analysis.

AI-ready skills are paramount, requiring experience with AI copilots, automated documentation tools, and AI assisted test accelerators. The ability to embed pre-built AI capabilities into maintenance workflows is expected, along with an understanding of responsible AI usage.
