Develop cutting-edge custom software solutions that integrate AI-driven intelligence into SAP business processes. This role focuses on building AI-native, cloud-ready SAP applications using ABAP Cloud, advanced AI architectures, LLM tooling, and rapid experimentation. You'll design, implement, and scale intelligent SAP applications by combining deep ABAP and SAP platform expertise with agentic AI capabilities.

This position actively contributes to building sophisticated AI systems, going beyond just utilizing AI tools. The emphasis is on creating intelligent SAP applications that can reason, retrieve information, and take action, leading to more autonomous enterprise workflows and faster innovation cycles.

Design and build ABAP Cloud applications embedding LLM-driven intelligence into SAP processes, utilizing the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP), event-driven patterns, and cloud-native architectures. Implement agentic workflows, including tools, planners, memory, and orchestration loops, integrated with SAP. Develop clean, testable ABAP code seamlessly integrating with AI services and enterprise APIs.

Build and integrate retrieval pipelines using SAP and non-SAP data sources, implementing chunking, indexing, embeddings, and context assembly for production-grade RAG scenarios. Design prompt templates, grounding strategies, fallback logic, and safety boundaries for enterprise SAP use cases. Ensure factuality, traceability, and explainability in AI-driven SAP workflows.

Implement evaluation frameworks for AI behaviors, design guardrails for authorization, data privacy, and error handling, and build observability into AI-enabled SAP applications. Prototype rapidly, demo frequently, and iterate based on business feedback, scaling AI prototypes into enterprise-grade production systems with a focus on performance, security, and compliance.

A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience is required, with a mandatory 15 years of full-time education. Core technical expertise includes SAP ABAP Cloud, RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP), CDS, OData, and clean core principles. Proven hands-on experience integrating LLMs and AI services into applications is essential.

Candidates should possess experience building RAG pipelines, embeddings, and contextual retrieval mechanisms. Strong software engineering fundamentals, including design, testing, and CI/CD practices, are crucial. The ability to translate complex business problems into innovative AI-enabled SAP solutions is a key requirement.
