Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer, focusing on enhancing SAP Materials Management (MM) processes. This role leverages AI-powered development tools to streamline operations, accelerate analysis, and improve problem resolution. You will be instrumental in optimizing procurement and inventory management while integrating advanced AI capabilities to boost productivity.

This position ensures streamlined procurement, inventory management, and supplier collaboration. You will integrate pre-built AI capabilities to boost productivity without requiring deep involvement in complex AI model development. The role emphasizes applying AI assistance for analysis, configuration, testing, documentation, and resolution.

Configure and optimize SAP MM processes, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Purchase Requisition/Order Management, Source Lists, Vendor Management, Inventory Management, Material Master Data, and Release Strategies. Utilize AI copilots to generate functional specifications, validate configuration, create test cases, and automate documentation.

Support end-to-end delivery from requirements gathering to hypercare. Integrate MM with other SAP modules (SD, FI, PP, QM) and external systems using standard APIs and middleware. Apply AI tools to accelerate requirement interpretation, process design, data validation, error diagnostics, and test creation. Generate functional specifications, technical specifications, SOPs, and KT decks with AI assistance.

Requires a strong understanding of SAP MM, including P2P processes, purchasing document flows, vendor evaluation, and inventory management. Must have experience configuring material master, vendor master, PO/PR processing, goods movements, and release strategies. Familiarity with integrations across SD, FI, PP, and QM, as well as knowledge of IDocs, outputs, pricing procedures, and common MM troubleshooting patterns is essential.

Demonstrate hands-on experience with AI copilots, LLM-powered documentation tools, and AI-assisted testing accelerators. Ability to integrate pre-built AI capabilities into MM workflows for automation and insight generation is crucial. A good understanding of responsible AI usage and data quality impacts is also necessary. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in procurement and material management scenarios are expected, along with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable SAP MM configurations. Clear communication and collaboration skills are vital.
