As a Node.js Backend Developer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend applications for cutting-edge OTT and digital media platforms. The focus is on creating efficient API solutions, seamless AWS integration, and providing reliable production support, all while utilizing Node.js, TypeScript, and contemporary cloud technologies.

As a Subject Matter Expert in Node.js backend development, you will independently design, develop, and enhance backend and Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) services using Node.js and TypeScript. You will build RESTful and GraphQL APIs for critical functions like catalog management, metadata handling, entitlement, playback authorization, and device registration. Furthermore, you'll develop API aggregation and response transformation layers for diverse platforms including Web, Mobile, Smart TV, and Set-Top Box. Integration with key AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, and ECS is a core responsibility. You will also be responsible for writing maintainable JavaScript and TypeScript code, developing automated tests, and actively participating in code reviews, CI/CD processes, and release activities. Analyzing production incidents, performing root cause analysis, and resolving performance bottlenecks are also key duties. Troubleshooting Node.js runtime issues, including memory leaks and event loop latency, and collaborating with cross-functional teams are essential. Contributing to technical documentation and knowledge sharing will further support continuous improvement.

We are looking for a Node.js Backend Developer with a strong command of Node.js and TypeScript. Essential experience includes building RESTful and GraphQL APIs, and hands-on work with frameworks like Express.js, Fastify, or Nest JS. Proficiency in AWS services, including Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, and ECS, is required. A solid understanding of asynchronous programming, Promises, Async/Await, Streams, Event Emitters, and error handling is crucial. Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases, along with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, and Super test, is necessary. Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker is expected. Application monitoring using Amazon CloudWatch or similar tools, and experience supporting production applications with incident troubleshooting, are also mandatory. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required, with a preference for 5 years. The role also requires a minimum of 15 years of full-time education. Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments, coupled with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, is highly valued. Cloud-native application development experience is a plus.
