As a Custom Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, coding, and enhancing components across various systems and applications. Leveraging modern frameworks and agile methodologies, you will deliver scalable, high-performing solutions precisely tailored to specific business needs. This role emphasizes the development of enterprise-grade asset management capabilities within SAP, integrating pre-built AI services to streamline workflows and boost productivity.

This position focuses on leveraging AI-assisted development tools and copilots to accelerate configuration, documentation, analysis, and testing within SAP Asset Management. The goal is to improve efficiency through AI-enabled assistance, rather than developing custom AI models or agentic systems.

Configure and enhance SAP Asset Management processes, including maintenance planning, work order management, notifications, master data, and integration with procurement and plant operations. Utilize AI copilots for generating functional specifications, validating configurations, creating test scenarios, and automating documentation.

Conduct end-to-end delivery, from requirement gathering and solution design to configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare. Integrate SAP Asset Management with related modules (PM, MM, QM, FI/CO) and external systems using standard APIs.

Employ AI-assisted tools to expedite impact analysis, data validation, error diagnosis, test case creation, and solution documentation. Integrate pre-built AI capabilities like predictive maintenance and anomaly detection into asset workflows. Use copilots for configuration reviews and optimization.

Ensure SAP solutions adhere to enterprise data quality, audit, and maintenance governance standards. Participate in workshops, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement discussions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and contribute to reusable templates and AI-enabled best practices.

Possess strong hands-on experience with SAP Asset Management/Plant Maintenance (PM), covering preventive and corrective maintenance, work order lifecycle, planning, scheduling, equipment master data, notifications, and reporting. Familiarity with cross-module integrations (MM, QM, FI/CO) and maintenance-related data structures is essential.

Demonstrate practical experience with AI copilots, LLM-based assistants, and automated documentation or testing accelerators. Be able to incorporate pre-built AI services into SAP AM processes and understand AI tool limitations and responsible AI usage.

Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to asset lifecycles and maintenance workflows. Translate maintenance and operations requirements into robust SAP configurations. Possess clear communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills, along with a mindset for continuous learning and AI-enabled productivity improvements.
