We are seeking a Custom Software Engineer to design, code, and enhance components across various systems and applications. This role involves leveraging modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions that precisely meet business requirements.

Join us to build AI-native enterprise applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). You will combine strong platform engineering expertise with agentic AI application patterns, focusing on building, deploying, and operating cloud applications, and evolving them into intelligent systems through rapid prototyping and production hardening.

Develop and manage cloud applications on SAP BTP, encompassing platform administration, solution design, and full-stack development. Create backend services and APIs using Node.js, and develop responsive UIs with SAPUI5, integrating them with backend data. Design database artifacts and data models, connecting applications to SAP HANA persistence patterns. Configure subaccounts, service instances, roles, and connectivity artifacts for API and database integration. Implement LLM-integrated features within BTP applications, including tool calling, orchestration, and memory handling. Build retrieval-grounded experiences (RAG-style) over enterprise content and APIs. Establish evaluation loops to monitor and ensure AI behavior changes are measurable and regressions are prevented. Utilize Git-based workflows and operate within Agile/Scrum methodologies, debugging and resolving issues across backend, database, and service exposure.

A minimum of 2-5 years of experience is required for this role. Must possess strong SAP BTP Application Development fundamentals, including platform architecture, administration basics, solution design, and frontend/backend build. Demonstrate hands-on full-stack implementation experience with backend services, APIs, data models, and UI integration. Exhibit strong software engineering principles, including clean code, a testing mindset, and CI/CD orientation, with the ability to transition from prototype to production. Familiarity with SAP Business Application Studio and common BTP development patterns is highly beneficial. A 15-year full-time education is mandatory.
