As a Senior Analyst in Custom Software Engineering, you will be instrumental in developing, deploying, and supporting the AVEVA PI System (formerly OSIsoft PI). This role demands a blend of hands-on development and collaborative problem-solving to meet client requirements and ensure the smooth operation of critical systems. You will contribute to key decisions and engage with diverse teams, including clients, to deliver effective solutions.

Your typical day will involve troubleshooting software issues, analyzing system performance, and ensuring applications function optimally to support business operations. This position requires a proactive approach to staying updated with emerging technologies and integrating them into the system architecture.

Ensure the continuous availability of the PI System, engaging with multiple teams and clients to provide solutions to complex problems. Conduct advanced coding and development tasks, staying abreast of the latest technological advancements to enhance system architecture.

Key responsibilities include troubleshooting PI System infrastructure issues, coordinating maintenance windows, patching servers, and performing controlled system starts and functional tests. You will also be responsible for implementing coordinated solutions within the PI Asset Framework, including analyses, structures, and authorizations, and collaborating with various application teams for seamless integration of the PI System.

A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience with AVEVA OSIsoft PI is mandatory. You should possess a strong understanding of PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework, Analysis, and Notifications, with proven experience in developing PI Vision dashboards. Proficiency in interface installation and configuration (PI RDBMS, PI UFL, PI to PI, PI Web API) is essential.

Essential technical skills include monitoring PI System health, thorough knowledge of PI System troubleshooting for infrastructure issues, and experience coordinating maintenance, patching, and testing. Strong communication skills and the ability to understand and deliver client requirements are vital. A 15-year full-time education is also a requirement for this role.
